Play War Card Game Online

Players

War is designed for two players only. Each player has their own face-down deck, and the starting player is chosen randomly at the beginning of each round.

Turn Actions

All cards in the deck remain hidden until they are drawn, so you cannot see upcoming cards in advance.

If Player A starts the round, Player B must wait and draw only after Player A has drawn their card.

Once both players have drawn, the cards are revealed face up. The player with the higher-ranked card wins the trick and takes both cards, placing them face down at the bottom of their deck.

Cards are ranked from lowest to highest as follows: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, J, Q, K, A.

War (Tied Cards)

1. A “War” message appears for both players.

2. Each player places one card face down on top of their tied card.

3. Then, each player draws one more card face up.

4. The new face-up cards are compared – the higher one wins all the cards from the battle.

5. If another tie occurs, the sequence repeats (one face down, one face up) until the tie is resolved.

Special Rule:
If a player doesn’t have enough cards to continue the battle, they lose instantly, and their opponent claims the rest of the cards.

How the Round Ends

• One player collects all 52 cards, or
• One player wins 30 tricks.
